It seems like everyone is on a diet these days.

There is vegan, paleo, low carb, low fat …. and the list goes on and on.

But what’s working? And what’s good for you if you’re over 50?

And what’s a good diet plan if you wanna lose weight and you’ve passed 60?

We decided to run a little survey to help you out!

Here is where YOU come into the picture.

We need you guys to help us out by taking this simple survey.

It will only take a minute, 2 tops.

Your input will help us understand what’s working, what’s not and what’s good for you if you’re not in your twenties anymore.

But guys, we need everyone to participate… So we can have the full picture and be able to compare results.

Like I said, it will be real quick.

And, it’s completely anonymous, so don’t worry about that.

Why Do You Need This Data?

You know we are all about helping our readers right?

And you must know by now that most of our readers are over 50.

So here is the story:

I was talking to a friend the other day and she told me there is not enough information online if you want to lose weight and you’re over 60.

She needed a good plan to present to her mother. She is almost 63. We’ll keep her weight to ourselves¬† :)

Let’s just say – she can use a diet (or two).

But she’s too lazy and my friend (let’s call her Amy) – she knows that if the diet fails, she won’t be able to convince her to try again, not until she’s 70.

So what does a girl do? That’s right: google it!


When was the last time your tried to find something online and it didn’t take you hours?

Yeah, you’re used to it. You can find it in 5 minutes, and share this stuff on Facebook if it’s good.

Well, good for you – but you’re not 63? Right?

Can you honestly tell me you can send your mother to google and she’ll find it? And if you’re younger – your grandma? Can she do it?

So you get me now?

And what about about specific data? Like does it work if you’re over 50? over 60? over 70?

Can we do it if we’re in a retirement community?

Can I do it without spending thousands of dollars on stupid things?

Well, maybe you can’t, but how can you know? right?

So, I told Amy we’ll do a survey. It’s a great idea actually. We’ll be able to gather tons of info and get to the truth!

There’s nothing better then getting the information from people like you, who failed, cried, gave up and tried again.

Some of you lost significant weight. Some lost just a few pounds.
So, why won’t you share?

We won’t ask for anything invasive, just basic stuff like your age, diets you tried, are you happy?

The good, the bad and the ugly truth!

Why do you need younger readers to take the survey then?

Because we want the big picture.

Maybe there’s a good diet that’s working for many and it’s highly recommended online and in the news – but boy, it doesn’t work for older people.

Maybe it does work if you’re in your 50s, but doesn’t work if you’re in your 60s? So Amy’s mom can’t do it right?

You see?

Amy wants her mother to have a good experience. She isn’t techie, she doesn’t read blogs and chat on facebook all day.

She won’t try another diet if this one fails!

Our readers doesn’t come only from the US.

We have audiences in the UK, Canada, Europe, Asia… the whole world.

And we wanna serve them too.

In addition, it will be interesting to see the difference.

Wouldn’t it be interesting if people from the USA and UK like a certain diet, but our Indian readers hate it?

Wouldn’t it help to know a certain diet is too expensive for some, even though it’s a great solution if you can afford it?

Don’t we all deserve a chance to feel and look better?

That’s why we want everyone to take the survey: vegetarians, carnivores, old, young, rich, poor, healthy and sick.

Will You Give Me the Results?

Of course!

I won’t keep it to myself. The whole point is to share the results and come to conclusions.

I will analyze your answers and post it with some nice graphs.

But guys, we can’t base a survey on 250 people…

We need data. We need people to take the survey and share it.

We need you!

It would be nice to know which diet works for specific age brackets, how much it costs, and how fast you can get results. Right?

Everyone wants to get results NOW. It’s funny but that’s how it is.

  4. Hey Gianna, I took the survey. I am 36 years old but who cares. I have been through a lot of diet plan, low carb, meat, fish and poultry. I just hope my response will be of help. ;-)
